More around the house in the summer

Just some more catchups!...The first 2 are us working on him standing. HE LOVES TO WORK ON STANDING UP...it's funny bc after he stands up a couple of times, if you try to lay him down, he gets fussy until you stand him back up!

Catch up pics

Top 2 are from the pink palace in Memphis. Nicholas came to stay a couple of nights with us, and we took him there. Also hit a few good restaurants with him, Flying Fish and Central BBQ. We also went to see the new Transformers movie, which we all enjoyed.

Then a bath pic, followed by me and him in his BUMBO seat. He's not just super strong in the seat yet, but gettin there.

These are from this morning...hit the timing just right.

We are heading to Jboro tonight for my Lasik in the morning at 615. I am looking so forward to it! I have a post op appt Friday morning at 815, then hopefully on the road again to Mimi and Pawpaws for the weekend, assuming I am all good to go...which I'm sure I will be.

Gonna be a family filled next few days, and I can't wait to see everyone!

Finally...PROOF

This morning, we finally got down to business about getting proof of the smile from Jake, and we got some decent pics of him smilin'. Wanted to get these up immediately after taking them.

B is headin out to take her special ed test this morning, I know she'll do fine...nerds always do!

We just had to take this one...Dexter is really scared of the vacuum cleaner, and he got "cornered" in Jake's room, so the only option for escape was to...well you see! And yes he made it in a deer-like leap.

Around the house

A few extras here. First one from this morning headin' out to church, B and Jake all dressed up. Then mom fixing grapes up.
The third one is when Jake started recognizing the bouncy seat thing with the music and moving parts.
Last one is just me and him in the back yard.
BY THE WAY, Jake finally gave us a big ole smile today, Bridgette got him to do it while they were on the couch "talking" today.
Updates-he's cooing quite a bit now, eating 6+ ounces each feeding, and has moved up to 1 diapers. Also, Bridgette has been playing DRESS UP with him and has found out that he's able to fit in to alot of the clothes we have gotten, so look out, he's dressing up from now on
Im getting Lasik on the 18th, really looking forward to that. Will be out of commission for a day or so, but it'll be so worth it
One more thing. Scott went to a BBQ competition yesterday in Memphis, BY HIMSELF, and wins first place AGAIN! The only times he's been by himself, he wins first! Something I guess I should be reading into there.

Neenaw and Mimi visit!

Mom and Neenaw came to visit for a couple of days to watch after the little turd so we could finish up the school year. REALLY enjoyed you guys coming to visit us too!

One is from his day at school with dad, on the next to last day of school. Had to get one of him in the classroom.

Then there's the one in his hat, in his BOB stroller, he's finally big enough to sit up in that thing without his carrier, he also went on his first jog with me yesterday (Saturday) morning. He fell asleep after the first 8 or so minutes, just like in the vehicle.

The other two are of him and dad on the couch, just hangin'.

On another note, B is going back to school. She is going after her Special Ed Supervisor certification. She has to take a Praxis test on June 13, then she has 5 classes to take through ASU, which she will start in the fall. I am so proud of her for doing it, big step for her!
