Busy Week - But Fun Week!

Jacob got to have his picture made with his Daddy at the football field. These are just a couple of snap shots - thanks Aunt "Li Li" for the pics.

We have some really cute t-shirts (which we LOVE) - This is
Jake's All-Star Baseball shirt [above] and his Oceanic 6 shirt (for all you "Losties" out there).

Jacob is learning to appreciate bath time. Here he is posing in his bathrobe - it is a little drafty.
Lucy and Jake chillin' in the chair on Saturday morning. He is starting to reach and pet at the puppies. We shall see how this is received by Dex & Lucy. :)

Saturday was Fan Fest for The University of Memphis Tigers. Jake enjoyed looking around at all the big boys. He was very interested in the grass and liked when the boys would shake his hand. We were so proud to share this day with Paulo and Darcel - GO TIGERS!

Check out Jake's new kicks! He now has his own Merrills to wear to church. Isn't he handsome?!

You have to take this whole scene in to appreciate it. This is a pre-church picture, with all the babies sleeping in the messy bed. Peaceful!

We have finished our 6 month post-adoption social worker visit! The process was legally through in April, but this physically closes our "case" with the agency. Praise God for ABBA Adoption and the work that they do. What a blessing this experience has been in our lives - the good the bad and the ugly - God's power was shown in our lives.
In other news - BEWARE OF THE FLU....Wash your hands, cough and sneeze in your elbow, no hand-holding/hugging, clean everything (don't forget the remote) - Little baby Jake does NOT want to get sick!

Love to all,
B

  2. Thanks for all of the pics. I bet you are going to have a fun football season! I wish I was there to help you like you were there to help me with Maddie. I love his shoes. He is getting so big! I need to come see you and meet him!
Michael has 1 player with the swine flu on the team. I am so scared that he is going to bring it home! I make him sanitize himself before entering the house!
